Stratford came tearing into Thursday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Assumption Royals with points to spare, taking the game 68-51. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Royals are ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stratford's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2. As for Assumption, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
