Football Game Preview: Frontenac Raiders vs. Neodesha Blue Streaks

The Frontenac Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Neodesha Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Frontenac 13, Neodesha 14.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

Neodesha will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Frontenac extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Raiders simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Columbus 41-14. The Raiders pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Titans cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last game, Neodesha made sure to put some points up on the board against Baxter Springs on Friday. The Blue Streaks came out on top against the Lions by a score of 35-28.

Neodesha's win came from a few key players Frontenac will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tayte Leck, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 181 yards and one TD. Those 73 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Cole Ramey was another key player, picking up 162 receiving yards and one score.

Neodesha didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Terrence Lowry and Jayedin Huckabey.

Frontenac's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Neodesha, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Frontenac against Neodesha in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 57-14 victory. In that contest, the Raiders amassed a halftime lead of 43-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
