Basketball Game Preview: Van Nuys Wolves vs. Kennedy Cougars

Van Nuys hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The two teams will face off at 4:30 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Van Nuys escaped with a win against Canoga Park by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Hunters: they've now won five in a row.

Jeremy Rivas was his usual excellent self, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Kennedy came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Tigers 58-41.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Van Nuys, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
