Softball Game Preview: St. Pius X Warriors vs. St. Teresa's Academy Stars

St. Pius X is 1-6 against St. Teresa's Academy since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Warriors will welcome the Stars at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lexington hit St. Pius X with a five-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 13-4 to the Minutemen.

Meanwhile, St. Teresa's Academy came up short against St. Michael the Archangel on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The game marked the Stars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Teresa's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for St. Pius X, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

St. Pius X couldn't quite get it done against St. Teresa's Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 as they fell 6-1. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
