Declo had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They put the hurt on the Glenns Ferry Pilots with a sharp 24-1 win. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 11-5 victory the Pilots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Race Zollinger and Cade Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Zollinger tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Miller struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). What's more, Zollinger posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. At bat, Zollinger went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Miller got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trevin Averett, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyle Bott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Declo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .761. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Declo's record is now 11-4. As for Glenns Ferry, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
