Valley Christian won the last time they faced Whittier Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Valley Christian Defenders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Whittier Christian Heralds, sneaking past 52-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Defenders.

Whittier Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nori Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Leland Carrido, who posted ten points and six boards.

Valley Christian's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-12. As for Whittier Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Village Christian the next time they take the court. Whittier Christian will head out to face Village Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Valley Christian will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
