Basketball Recap: Twelve Bridges Victorious

Twelve Bridges picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Pleasant Grove Eagles 51-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raging Rhinos.

Addison Carpenter had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Maisie Dennis was another key player, putting up nine points and seven assists.

Twelve Bridges smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Grove only pulled down four.

Pleasant Grove's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Myers, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliya Javed, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Twelve Bridges' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pleasant Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Twelve Bridges will venture away from home to take on El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Grove, they have already played their next matchup, a 71-45 loss against McClatchy on the 1st.
