Preview: Stafford vs. Otis-Bison
On Friday Otis-Bison take on Stafford at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
Otis-Bison had a rough outing against Victoria two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Everything went Otis-Bison's way against Bucklin last week as the squad secured a 50-0 victory. The Otis-Bison offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.
Meanwhile, Stafford took the game and then some with a 62-14 win over Minneola. With Stafford ahead 40-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Their wins bumped Otis-Bison to 1-1 and Stafford to 2-0. In their win, Stafford relied heavily on senior Justice Manning, who punched in 3 rushing TDs and threw 3 TDs; a key strategy for Otis-Bison will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
