Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Trinity Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grayson Christian 80-52. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 23 point advantage.

Trinity Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Nutt, who went 12 of 16 en route to 28 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Nutt's evening made it 17 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Luke Rolen was another key player, going 9 for 20 on his way to 23 points and eight boards.

Trinity Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.6 points per game. As for Grayson Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Trinity Christian Academy will host Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Grayson Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mercy Prep Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
