It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Chico had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Red Bluff Spartans with a 12-7 win. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Spartans two weeks ago, they had to take a 31-19 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Chico and bumps their season record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 13 points in those games. As for Red Bluff, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Looking ahead, Chico will welcome Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. Red Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
