Basketball Recap: Mccarthy Crenshaw's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fletcher over Ribault

Fletcher played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 65-40 to the Ribault Trojans. The Senators haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Senators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was McCarthy Crenshaw, who posted seven points.

Ribault's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reffard Wilson, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 11 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Beaufort, who scored 12 points and three steals.

Fletcher's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Ribault, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Fletcher has already played their next matchup, a 57-35 victory against Mandarin on the 5th. As for Ribault, they will head out to take on Raines at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
