Volleyball Recap: Red Mountain Extends Winning Streak to Three

Red Mountain had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Mesa Jackrabbits as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Red Mountain was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 25-20.

Brooklyn Black paced Red Mountain's offense, picking up eight kills. Black got some help from Rihanna Brooks and her 17 assists. Caitlin Spetz controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Red Mountain's win bumped their record up to 23-15. As for Mesa, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-24.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Red Mountain will challenge rival Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mesa is set to square off against their familiar foe Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
