Football Game Preview: Decatur Seahawks vs. Parkside Rams + How To Watch

The Decatur Seahawks will challenge the Parkside Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Decatur is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Decatur had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 35-point drubbing they dealt Kent Island on Friday. The Seahawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Buccaneers 35-0. Considering the Seahawks have won four contests by more than 32 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Decatur can attribute much of their success to Johnny Hobgood, who threw for 189 yards and four touchdowns, and Kyle Mumford, who rushed for 137 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. That's the most passing touchdowns Hobgood has posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Parkside ended up a good deal behind Queen Anne's County on Friday and lost 43-27. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Parkside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Decatur, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Decatur against Parkside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 58-14 victory. In that matchup, the Seahawks amassed a halftime lead of 51-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
