Wyatt Webb leads a balanced attack to beat Vanguard College Prep

There's no place like home for the Covenant Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Vanguard College Prep by a score of 54-41 on Tuesday. Given Covenant's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while Vanguard College Prep is ranked 953rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Covenant's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Webb, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Webb has scored all season. Everett Webb was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Covenant's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Vanguard College Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Covenant will be playing at home against Brook Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vanguard College Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on All Saints Episcopal at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
