Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to 18

Heritage Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on The Prairie School Hawks with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their 18th in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Heritage Christian took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nina Dorger, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Dorger has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Ainsley Ellis, who hit 100% for six kills and eight digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Heritage Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matches.

Heritage Christian's victory bumped their record up to 34-6. As for The Prairie School, they moved to 9-17 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, Heritage Christian will host Sheboygan Area Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Prairie School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
