Football Recap: Alex Comes Up Short

Alex lost against Empire back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns were dealt a 46-18 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Alex now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Empire, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alex will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Strother at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Empire, they will take on Burns Flat-Dill City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
