Softball Recap: Cainsville Comes Up Short

Cainsville's last matchup with Albany could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Redmen lost 10-0 to the Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redmen of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Cainsville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Albany, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cainsville will take on Grundy County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Albany, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Worth County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
