Football Game Preview: Greene County Tigers vs. Pickens Academy Pirates + How To Watch

The Greene County Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Pickens Academy Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greene County has given up an average of 30.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greene County came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 38-8 defeat at the hands of Vincent. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Chance Richardson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 117 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 37 points the game before, Pickens Academy was a bit more limited in their game last Friday. They fell 22-12 to Hatch.

Pickens Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Hudson Pennington.

Pickens Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Greene County, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Greene County strolled past Pickens Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 34-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
