Basketball Game Preview: University Trojans vs. Waco Lions

University and Waco are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The University Trojans will welcome the Waco Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

University is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Ellison just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 55-47 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Waco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. The contest between them and Lake Belton didn't end well, with Waco falling 57-42.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Waco, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.

Everything came up roses for University against Waco in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 54-16 win. Will University repeat their success, or does Waco have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
