Softball Recap: Alden-Hebron Green Giants vs. Christian Liberty Chargers
Alden-Hebron scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past the Christian Liberty Chargers 27-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Alden-Hebron.
Alden-Hebron got a massive performance out of Marissa Johnson, who got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Reiter, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in five of her seven plate appearances.
The win got Alden-Hebron back to even at 2-2. As for Christian Liberty, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alden-Hebron will challenge South Beloit at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Beloit is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Christian Liberty, they will head out on the road to take on Willows Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
