Football Recap: Academy for Classical Education Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Academy for Classical Education managed to slip by Bleckley County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Gryphons had to suffer through a 48-9 loss at the hands of the Royals. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Gryphons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ace Hatcher threw for 203 yards on 16 of 43 attempts. Brady Balkcom was his top target, picking up 99 receiving yards. On the ground, Bryson Vincent rushed for 45 yards.

Brody Fleming was his usual excellent self, throwing for 272 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 100 yards on only five carries for Bleckley County. Those 100 rushing yards gave Fleming a new career-high. A healthy portion of Fleming's aerial production (119 yards to be exact) went to Gage Harris.

Academy for Classical Education has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Bleckley County, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Academy for Classical Education didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-21 defeat against Washington County on the 31st. As for Bleckley County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 49-0 victory against Central on the 30th.
