Basketball Recap: Gardner-South Wilmington Comes Up Short on the Road Against Coal City

Gardner-South Wilmington had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coal City Coalers on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Coming up, Gardner-South Wilmington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Morris at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coal City, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Southland College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
