Basketball Recap: Rancho Dominguez Takes a Loss

Rancho Dominguez lost against San Pedro back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rancho Dominguez Lobos took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Pedro Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 767th, while the Pirates are ranked 319th).

Rancho Dominguez's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for San Pedro, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rancho Dominguez will head out to take on Carson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Pedro, they are taking a road trip to face off against Gardena at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
