Berkeley Prep extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 43-39 W against the Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars. For the Buccaneers, this counts as revenge for the 73-62 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berkeley Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carinne Washington, who went 6-for-15 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Taylor, who posted ten points and four steals.

Berkeley Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

As for Academy of the Holy Names, their record now sits at 4-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Academy of the Holy Names lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Autumn Steele, who shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Gabriella Teixeira was another key player, shooting 40% from the field to rack up 15 points along with six boards and three blocks.

Berkeley Prep has already played their next game, a 68-48 win against Seffner Christian on the 6th. As for Academy of the Holy Names, they will head out to challenge Keswick Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
