Tallassee had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Percy Julian Phoenix. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 back in March.

Clay Ingram looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Bryson Rigsby was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Konner Taunton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Tallassee pushed their record up to 14-8-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Percy Julian, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
