Evangel Christian extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Tuesday, bumping them up to 2-0. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 60-31 victory over Restoration Academy. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lightning had established a 24-point advantage.

Ben Bugnar was nothing short of spectacular: he went 5-for-10 on his way to 17 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Walker, who shot 75% from the field en route to 12 points.

Evangel Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Restoration Academy only racked up four.

Having lost for the first time this season, Restoration Academy fell to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Restoration Academy lost, don't look at Cortez Ruffin. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points and three steals. Ruffin has also also been stellar as far as three-point shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 40% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Moffitt, who scored six points and three blocks.

Evangel Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-70 win against Valiant Cross Academy on the 20th. As for Restoration Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-9 victory against Tuscaloosa Home Educators on the 20th.
