Basketball Game Preview: Stratford Tigers vs. Rib Lake Redmen

Stratford is a perfect 9-0 against Rib Lake since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Stratford Tigers will host the Rib Lake Redmen at 7:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Stratford sitting on six straight victories and Rib Lake on five.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Monday. Stratford took down Black River Falls 69-50. Given Stratford's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Black River Falls is ranked 351st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rib Lake). They came out on top against Colby by a score of 82-70 on Monday.

Stratford pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Rib Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Stratford strolled past Rib Lake in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 57-40. Does Stratford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rib Lake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
