Two dominant backs in Cooper Crosby and Kylan Bobo are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Gulfport Admirals will be playing at home against the Tupelo Golden Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Gulfport's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last ten games.
Gulfport is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Brandon 40-7. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-0.

Gulfport can attribute much of their success to Parker Nettles, who threw for 228 yards and one TD while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. That's the most passing yards Nettles has posted since back in October.
Gulfport was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gulfport's defense and their four sacks. Lawrence Robertson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Brandon's side was Robertson, who picked up three sacks, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles (6.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Tupelo faced Oxford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Golden Wave made off with a 21-20 victory over the Chargers. The win continues a trend for the Golden Wave in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won five in a row.
Gulfport better keep an eye on Jaeden Hill. He was instrumental in Tupelo's win, rushing for 172 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Hill's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards. Braylen Williams helped out on the ground, rushing for 82 yards.
Gulfport's record now sits at 11-2. As for Tupelo, their record is now 13-1.
Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground. Gulfport has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 171.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Tupelo struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 303.1 rushing yards.
