Football Game Preview: Irrigon Knights vs. Grant Union Prospectors

The Irrigon Knights will head out to take on the Grant Union Prospectors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Irrigon has given up an average of 34.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Irrigon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 38 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Heppner on Friday. They were beaten by the Mustangs 58-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Grant Union came up short against Enterprise on Friday and fell 28-20.

Irrigon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Grant Union, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Irrigon couldn't quite get it done against Grant Union in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 32-20. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
