Winters put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over the Live Oak Lions. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Sebastian Rodriguez was his usual excellent self, rushing for 105 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also picking up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023. Lane Brown was another key player, throwing for 144 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Winters' defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Rodriguez and Jordan Wojan. Winters got some further help from Julian Herrera: he forced a fumble, made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended a pass.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Winters was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 366 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Live Oak only rushed for 84.

Winters' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Live Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winters will square off against Durham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Winters: 8.5, Durham: 15.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Live Oak, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
