The Gateway Regional Gators will square off against the Clearview Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clearview took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gateway Regional, who comes in off a win.

Clearview will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Gateway Regional extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Gators walked away with a 28-16 win over Pitman. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Gators were the (much) better team in the second half.

Gateway Regional got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dj Binck out in front who rushed for 156 yards and one score while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 58 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another back making a difference was Lamar Smith, who rushed for 119 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gateway Regional was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 346 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Gateway Regional didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aidan Barbato and Binck. Kingston Lomanno was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Clearview had to suffer through a 40-6 loss at the hands of Pennsauken. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Indians are ranked 59th).

Gateway Regional's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Clearview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
