Baseball Recap: Escondido Charter Has No Trouble Against Guajome Park Academy

Escondido Charter won the last time they faced Guajome Park Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Escondido Charter Tigers blew past the Guajome Park Academy Frogs 31-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Karl (Liam) Ricciardi was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, Matthew Hydar was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. Joey Seavello was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Escondido Charter's record is now 2-0. As for Guajome Park Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Escondido Charter will have a chance to go back-to-back against Guajome Park Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
