With a playoff win on the line, Cerritos rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 16-7 win over the Fillmore Flashes. The victory was nothing new for the Dons as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed ten in total. All came from Mateo Arancibia: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points and added another on an extra point kick.

Cerritos' defense made their presence known, laying out Nathaniel Perez three times. Bailey-Fa'Alogo Crawford was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played.

Cerritos' win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Fillmore, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Cerritos will take on Ramona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so the Dons' offense will have their work cut out for them. Fillmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
