Baseball Recap: Carbon Hill Takes a Loss

Carbon Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Pinson Valley Indians, falling 11-1.

Carbon Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Gilreath, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Marcus Pierce also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Carbon Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Pinson Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-17 record this season.

Carbon Hill and Fayetteville will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Pinson Valley, they will take on Boaz in a tournament on Wednesday.
