Football Recap: Victor Comes Up Short

If Victor was feeling good fresh off their 44-8 takedown of St. Ignatius last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates took a 24-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Charlo Vikings on Saturday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Victor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Charlo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victor will take on St. Regis at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pirates will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Charlo, they will challenge Darby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
