Football Game Preview: Los Altos Eagles vs. Gunn Titans

The Los Altos Eagles will challenge the Gunn Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gunn took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Los Altos, who comes in off a win.

Los Altos is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Santa Clara to the tune of 49-21 on Thursday. The Eagles have beaten the Bruins the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bruins has come to flipping the script.

Los Altos' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Wu, who rushed for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. Another rusher making a difference was Manny Contreras, who gained 77 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Gunn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 27-9 fall against Fremont. Titans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Firebirds since Friday.

Los Altos' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Gunn, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Los Altos against Gunn in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, as the team secured a 49-10 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
