Recap: Harding Academy Lions vs. St. George's Gryphons
The Harding Academy Lions's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-58 victory over St. George. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the defeat, St. George's saw an underclassman step up: Rollin Crose scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Jones, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Harding Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for St. George's, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Harding Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Defenders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. George's, they will head out on the road to challenge the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. First Assembly Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
