Volleyball Recap: El Capitan Vaqueros vs. Santana Sultans
El Capitan lost against Santana on October 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vaqueros took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sultans. The Vaqueros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
El Capitan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-17.
Vanessa Ryan was a one-woman wrecking crew For Santana. as she had 22 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Ryan has posted since back in September. Naomi Olayan was another key player, getting 12 digs.
El Capitan's loss dropped their record down to 20-15. As for Santana, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-6.
