Volleyball Game Preview: Portales Rams vs. Goddard Rockets

Portales hasn't had much luck against Goddard recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Portales made easy work of Lovington and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Goddard faced Artesia in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Rockets came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on six straight.

Goddard walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-12, 25-23.

Portales' win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Goddard, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.

Portales suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Goddard when the teams last played back in September. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
