Football Recap: Ponderosa Mustangs vs. Heritage Eagles
Wednesday just wasn't the day for Ponderosa's offense. They came up short against the Heritage Eagles on Wednesday, falling 26-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ponderosa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kambryn Smith.
It was another big night for Abby Nichols, who threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards on only ten carries for Heritage. Avalon Lux-Offerman was Nichols' top target, picking up 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Ponderosa's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Heritage, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
As of now, neither Ponderosa nor Heritage have any future games scheduled.
