Football Recap: Brett Lundberg and Cole Anderson Secure Win for Shawnee

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Shawnee walked away with it. They took down the Pennsauken Indians 28-12 on Thursday. The Renegades haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Shawnee was led to victory by Cole Anderson and Brett Lundberg. Anderson rushed for 223 yards and two TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, while Lundberg rushed for 131 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries. What's more, Lundberg posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Shawnee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Pennsauken still got an impressive performance from Randall Blount, who rushed for 230 yards while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Blount's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

Shawnee's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Pennsauken, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Coming up, Shawnee is taking a road trip to challenge Winslow Township at 1:00 p.m. on the 8th. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 11.3 points per game this season, so the Renegades' offense will have their work cut out for them. Pennsauken does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
