The Washington Hatchets will challenge the Evansville North Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Washington comes in on 14 and Evansville North on four.
Last Tuesday, Washington was able to grind out a solid victory over Princeton, taking the game 45-35. Given the Hatchets' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Tigers are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Washington can attribute much of their success to Katie Reed, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds, and Shay Hawk, who posted 13 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Reed a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Frank, who put up seven points and six rebounds.
Washington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.
Meanwhile, Evansville North didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Jasper on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 46-40 win.
Evansville North found their leader in sophomore Azaria Finn, who went 7 of 17 en route to 25 points and three steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for Finn. Lexi Scott was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.
Evansville North is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Washington has been crazy accurate this season, having made 48.1% of their field goals per game. It's a different story for Evansville North, though, as they've only made 34.8% of their shots this season. Given Washington's sizable advantage in that area, Evansville North will need to find a way to close that gap.
