Pine Lake Prep has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the West Columbus Vikings at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Lake Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Pine Lake Prep can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They never let West Johnston onto the board and left with a 9-0 win. The victory was just what Pine Lake Prep needed coming off of a 9-1 defeat in their prior matchup.
Quinn Kelly and Tripp Tammaro did most of the damage at the plate: Kelly scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Tammaro scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, West Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of East Forsyth by a score of 15-14. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
The win got Pine Lake Prep back to even at 6-6. As for West Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
