Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. Heritage Patriots

The Liberty Bison will head out on the road to take on the Heritage Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Heritage took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Liberty, who comes in off a win.

Liberty is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 72-66 victory over Elsinore on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.

Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a hard 62-48 fall against JW North. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1129th, while the Huskies are ranked 478th).

Liberty will need focus on slowing down Aidyn Hendricks, one of several Heritage players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Contreras, who scored nine points.

Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Liberty was able to grind out a solid win over Heritage in their previous meeting back in January, winning 70-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
