Volleyball Recap: Elizabeth Strub and Olivia Gard Secure Win for Berean Christian + How To Watch

After losing to Highlands Christian the last time they met, Berean Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Knights 3-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Knights since September 12, 2020.

Berean Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Highlands Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 24-26, 24-26, 15-9.

Leading Berean Christian to victory were Olivia Gard and Elizabeth Strub. Gard had 18 digs and one assist, while Strub had seven digs and five aces. That's the most digs Strub has posted over her last three matches. Hailey Georgic also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Berean Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. They served 13 more aces than Highlands Christian's also-impressive total of 12.

Despite the loss, Highlands Christian still got an impressive performance from Makenzie Doane, who had 16 digs and three aces.

The win (which was Berean Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 11-8. As for Highlands Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Berean Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highlands Christian, they will face off against Somerset Academy - Canyons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
