Football Recap: Ontario Comes Up Short

Ontario was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community Buckaroos, falling 40-7. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 46-20 to the Buckaroos when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ontario's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ontario will face off against Stayton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community, they will take on La Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
