Baseball Recap: Bigfork Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Bigfork's win against Libby wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings and Valkyries sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Loggers on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Vikings and Valkyries as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Ryder Hamilton, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Rye Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bigfork's record now sits at 10-3. As for Libby, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bigfork is set to face off against their familiar foe Polson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Libby will take on rival Noxon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
