Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Eagles vs. Hudson Explorers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Edward can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hudson Explorers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Explorers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.
Ian Williams paced St. Edward's offense, picking up 15 kills. Williams got some help from Michael Gall and his 34 assists. Williams was also a major player on defense: he and Calvin Polenz shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with four each.
Sam Disney went supernova For Hudson., getting 22 digs. Those 22 digs gave Disney a new career-high.
