Baseball Recap: Avon Park Gets the Win

Avon Park won the last time they faced IMG Academy Blue and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Avon Park Red Devils came out on top against the IMG Academy Blue Ascenders by a score of 8-3.

Eric Harrison made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Cam Engler was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Avon Park's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for IMG Academy Blue, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
