Basketball Recap: Fannett Metal Comes Up Short

Fannett Metal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern Fulton Indians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Fannett Metal this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-27 back in December of 2024.

Southern Fulton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claire Harvey, who posted 20 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Harvey's evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Sosefina Ah Loe was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Fannett Metal's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Southern Fulton, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

Fannett Metal will host Rockwood on Thursday. Southern Fulton has already played their next matchup (against McConnellsburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
